Professor Masaru Nakano

Profile

Research Interests : System design methodology, Business systems engineering, Business process reengineering, Environmental policy,  Marketing, Urban mobility systems for aging and disabled people

After obtaining a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1980, Masaru Nakano joined Toyota Central R&D Laboratories (1980-2008) and served as principal researcher before joining this graduate school in April 2008. Meantime, he obtained a Ph.D. in Production System Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology in 1997 and then served as a lecturer at Nagoya Institute of Technology (1997-1999). He is in charge of international collaborations at SDM.

Assistant Professor Aki Nakamoto

Aki Nakamoto obtained a Master’s degree in systems engineering at Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University in 2014, and serves as an assistant professor from 2017, managing Flying Car Research Lab. She previously engaged in global marketing and client services at Japanese and foreign asset management companies. She was involved in an international collaboration research as a visiting student at Engineering Systems Division, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2013.

 

Assistant Professor Tsubasa Nakamura

Co-representative, CARTIVATOR

Tsubasa Nakamura obtained a Master’s degree at Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University in 2009, and engaged as an engineer in development of next-generation cars for the global market at Toyota Motors. Having launched CARTIVATOR in January 2013, he has lead as Co Representative the voluntary group to develop a flying car. He serves as a researcher at Flying Car Research Lab since April 2017, working with Professor Nakano and Assistant Professor Nakamoto, with an aim to realize flying cars.
